PZ Packs Hero

What is PZ Packs?

PZ Packs is a comprehensive SaaS platform designed for Project Zomboid server administrators who need to manage mod collections efficiently. Whether you’re running a small private server or managing mods for a large community, PZ Packs streamlines the entire workflow from mod discovery to server configuration export. Hello, Survivor! Instead of manually tracking Workshop IDs, mod dependencies, and server configuration files, PZ Packs provides a centralized platform where you can:
  • Create and organize modpacks with intuitive UI
  • Import entire Steam Workshop Collections automatically
  • Collaborate with team members on mod curation
  • Export ready-to-use server configuration files for both Build 41.x and 42.x
  • Share public modpacks with the community

Who is PZ Packs for?

Server Administrators

Manage multiple modpacks for different server instances. Export configuration files that drop directly into your Project Zomboid server setup.

Community Managers

Collaborate with team members on mod selection. Create public modpacks that your community can discover and use.

Content Creators

Curate themed modpacks for your audience. Share collections that viewers can easily implement on their own servers.

Mod Enthusiasts

Discover new mods, track your favorites, and experiment with different mod combinations without manual Workshop ID management.

Key Features

Steam Workshop Integration

Direct integration with Steam Workshop. Import entire collections via URL, automatically fetch mod metadata, and keep Workshop IDs synchronized.

Server File Export

Generate production-ready server configuration files. Supports both Project Zomboid Build 41.x and 42.x formats with proper mod ordering.

Team Collaboration

Add team members to your modpacks with permission controls. Collaborate on mod curation without sharing server credentials.

Mod Configuration

Fine-tune individual mod settings. Select specific Steam Mod IDs for multi-mod packages and customize map folders.

Public Modpack Discovery

Browse community-created modpacks. Discover curated collections for different playstyles, themes, and server types.

Discord Authentication

Secure OAuth2 authentication via Discord. No password management required - use your existing Discord account.

How It Works

1

Authenticate with Discord

Sign in securely using your Discord account. No email or password required - just OAuth2 authentication.
2

Create Your Modpack

Give your modpack a name, description, and optional avatar. Make it public to share with the community or keep it private.
3

Add Mods

Search the mod database, import from Steam Workshop Collections, or manually add mods by Workshop ID. PZ Packs fetches all metadata automatically.
4

Configure and Organize

Reorder mods for proper load sequence. Configure multi-mod packages by selecting specific Steam Mod IDs. Set up map folders as needed.
5

Export Server Files

Select your Project Zomboid build version (41.x or 42.x) and export a ready-to-use server configuration file with all Workshop IDs, mod IDs, and map settings.

Platform Architecture

  • Authentication: Better Auth with Discord OAuth2 integration
  • Database: PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM for type-safe database queries
  • Cache: Redis for session management and queue processing
